Usually, I am no fan of store-bought hummus. Too much garlic (can't eat it), too grainy (texture matters), not enough tahini, and definitely nothing like real Jerusalem stuff. But I am enjoying this new hummus - discovered courtesy of J's friend Jascha. It's Wildwood probiotic stuff. It's creamy. It tastes good. I am eating it on celery and carrots. It was good on tortilla chips during the 49ers game. It is good sitting in the back of the coffee shop that all of OUSD teachers and staff seem to love, waiting for my meeting.
Yum!
This is a blog where I say everything I am eating and how I feel about it, and you can say everything you are eating and how you feel about it. By the way, I feel great.

Healthy eating
This is what I am eating: tilapia baked with butter, lemon, sprinkles of parmesan cheese and some cherry heirloom tomatoes.
Baby broccoli sauteed in oil with salt.
Delicious, but I was so hungry from changing my eating habits that I basically inhaled it all in a matter of seconds and then it was gone.
Okay, so then also I had a half a rice cake with goat cheese for dessert. I just wanted that goat cheese. Plus, I can't have ice cream, so give me a break!

Pots and Pans
Phew. Now that Mexico has skyrocketed me back into the world of eating, I am cooking again too, and I love my new pots and pans. Everything heats up easily and cleaning them is a breeze. And there is even a little mini-pot just big enough for my morning oatmeal and nothing else. Today I ate the oatmeal with butter and brown sugar and a cup of decaffeinated English Breakfast tea. (After 2 weeks of vacation, I can't handle caffeine anymore!) Yum. Thank you, Mom and Dad! Hooray for pots and pans!
